California 2010



A very nice little ride down the Pacific coast from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo.



Nepal 2009




Trekking in the Everest Region - from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, on to Gokyo and back to Lukla. And ofcourse some time spent before and after i Kathmandu.



Iceland 2009



A bike ride zig-zagging around Iceland on the ring road, the Kjölur Route from south to north and the Fjallabak Route to Landmannalaugar.

Three shorter trips in the spring 2009: Wildlife watching and walking in South Africa & Swaziland; Outback tripping In South Australia and Tasmania seen from air and sea; National Park hopping in amazing Arizona & Utah.


Bolivia & Chile 2008



One of my dream rides through an extreme, desolate part of the Andes in southwestern Bolivia and into the Atacama Desert of Chile.

Three shorter trips - kayaking, cycling and walking in South India's Kerala; spotting wildlife in Kenya and trekking up volcanoes in Rwanda to meet mountain gorillas; and heading to Borneo to see proboscis monkeys, trek in the jungle and sail up rivers watching orangutangs.


Pamir Highway 2007: Tajikistan & Kyrgyzstan



A summer ride on the stunning, desolate Pamir Highway, from Dushanbe in Tajikistan to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.



Tibet in Exile 2007: Mcleod Ganj & Beyond, India



A different trip - two months spend in McLeod Ganj, India to report on the Tibetan community in exile in India. 



San Francisco & Beyond 2006



Pictures from life at a million miles an hour in San Francisco and beyond...



Canada & USA 2006



A North American bike ride starting off with a spectacular long loop in The Rocky Mountains of British Columbia before hitting the U.S., the Pacific coast and following it down to San Francisco.



Pakistan 2005



Riding through the Hindu Kush Mountains from Chitral over the Shandur Pass and on the The Karakorum Highway for cycling and trekking.



Indian Himalaya 2004



Back in the Indian Himalayas for another fantastic ride going from Shimla through Kinnaur and Spiti valleys, on to Leh and out on the Tibetan border to Pangong Tso.



Jordan & Egypt 2003-2004



A short trip from Amman, down through the jordanian deserts to the Red Sea and continuing down the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.



Indian Himalaya 2003



A ride in one of my favorite parts of the world, Ladakh and Zanskar, starting in Manali, on to Leh, Nubra Vally and Zanskar.



South America 2002



A continuation of the ride Central American ride - going through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay before returning to Argentina and Bueno Aires and finishing a couple of years of only ridiong and dreaming about riding. Check out Climbing in Peru & Bolivia 2002 too.


Central America 2002



A Central American ride starting in Mexico City and going through Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica before ending in Panama and Panama City.


Asia - Europe 2000-2001



Still the longest and prabably the most adventurous trip on my bike, starting in Pakistan, riding the Karakoram Highway, hitchiking through West Tibet to Lhasa and to the Nepali Border before riding the bike home to Denmark through Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Denmark.


South America 1999



My first bicycle trip ever, starting in the heart of the Andes, Cuzco, and continuing south through Bolivia, Chile and Argentina to Patagonia.

Pointless, little nomad facts  
  Fastest cycling: 94 km/t, Ecuador 2002

Slowest average speed due to horrible or non-existing road: 6.7 km/h on average, Bolivia 2008

Longest distance in a day with bike fully loaded: 240 km, Turkey 2001

Most flat tires: 5 in one kilometer, Pakistan 2000, caused by little, evil plants resembling nails on the road

Animal attacks: Bitten by crazed monkey in Kathmandu 2000, too many dog attacks to count, 1999-2009 all over...

Highest pass cycled with bike fully loaded: Khardung La, 5630 m, India 2003

Longest time without a shower: 27 days, Tibet 2000. Simply didn't come across across one...

Most water drunk in one day: 20 liters, Mexico 2002

Bikes stolen: Two, while living in San Francisco 2006 and in Copenhagen 2009 (Bastards!). Never stolen on the road.

Bikes crashes drawing blood: One, Nepal 2000

Most weight lost during traveling: 23 kilos, leaving me at 63 kilos, Asia 2000

Worst food: Goat, goat and goat, Tajikistan 2007.
